Lizze’s Story

Daisypath Happy Birthday tickers
First, let’s do a little intro to me.

I am Lizze, a.k.a. Lizzeann, a.k.a. Fibromama, a.k.a. Fibromamaby3. I am Queen of my Castle. The breastfeeding, co-sleeping, attachment parenting, no-spanking mama. (So of those will always be practiced beliefs, while others were once practiced but are now just beliefs.)

Outside of my family, I live for art and writing – creative writing, article writing, blog writing, writing book reviews, or the simple act of writing in general – I ♥love♥ to write. I keep journals, baby books, date books…anything to help me, help my Boys know where we came from and what we’ve been through – the good, the bad and the indifferent.

My Boys are my life.

Everything I do is for them, literally. They come first and foremost in every single thing I do and I would die for them. Without thinking about it.

I have Fibromyalgia, chronic migraines, hypersomnia (I need more than 12 + hours sleep everyday.), OCD, PTSD, Asperger’s and a slew of other health issues.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder and that coupled with everything else effects every aspect of my life. Making everyday more of a struggle than it would be on it’s own.

My favorite colors are blue, pink and purple. Honestly though, I love all colors so long as they’re bright. Although I tend to wear more blue than any other color.

Writing, arts and crafts are my main hobbies. Except for this blog, I ♥love♥ this blog! Hopefully one day I’ll get it to the point where it’s as popular as I know it can be. In the process, I hope to find a way to bring in some extra income to help pay the bills – both everyday and the massive medical bills I keep racking up between my surgery and uncovered other various treatments. (I’m not a cheap stay-at-home mom/wife to have.)

Honestly though, I would be happy and content if I managed to get my blog popular enough to bring Fibromyalgia the kind of attention it needs and deserves. In my quest to help others lately, I seem to have started a few Fibromyalgia based “causes”. I should probably shut a few down and focus on just one but I’m not sure that I can or ever where to start. Moving right along, here you will find anything and everything that is related to the Story of Lizze. You’ll find that My Story is rather complicated and often times it is easier for me to tell it in bits and pieces via memes, if your clever enough to listen closely to catch those bits. ;-)

The topics I plan to cover in these posts, are likely going to be rather sensitive in nature. So I hope and pray that you will be patient with me if it takes a while for me to get these posts up. It often brings up very painful memories when I writes those posts, which results in debilitating migraines.

Since these posts are likely to be sensitive in nature it’s likely I’ll curse and the posts will get rather descriptive. If either of these things are going to offend or upset you, please do not read these posts. Please read just about any other post on my blog. =)

    Hi Lizzie,
With all the issues you are dealing with, I wonder if you might benefit from a new service being offered through MotherKnows.com. It could help you keep track of your children's medical records and take one thing off your plate! I learned of this service through a friend who also struggled with a special needs child and found record keeping records to be one task he could delegate so he could focus more time on getting his daughter the help she needed and the peace of mind he needed.

The service is described in a brief video (http://vimeo.com/28125298)MotherKnows (www.motherknows.com). It's a secure website and mobile app that provides parents access to their child's health records anywhere, anytime it is needed. The product allows a parent to simply sign an electronic release and MotherKnows collects their child's health records from any provider and displays them to a site custom-tailored to the needs of parents. MotherKnows features easy to read graphic displays of immunizations, growth charts, medications and milestones. Parents can also safely share this information easily with any medical provider, school, daycare or caregiver. As you know, having full access to their child's health records wherever and whenever, we are empowered to advocate for their best medical care!

Too bad they don't offer adult record keeping to help you keep track of your own visits! I have a mom in chronic pain and know how difficult it is to constantly access files for doctor consultations.

Please contact me if you would like to try this service for free or just want more information.

I wish you continued strength as you battle this condition and continue to raise your beautiful family.
    Beth
